Absolutely Remarkable Thing Overview
Hank Green's debut novel, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, follows a young graphic designer named April who, one late night in New York City, stumbles upon a remarkable thing. Little does she know that her whole life is about to change when she and her friend make a video of this remarkable thing that goes viral. Falling head-first into overnight fame, April is thrown into the frenzied world of news outlets, Twitter, loads of cash, and most of all, a new platform that allows her to spark change and have a taste of power. Green homes in on themes important to today's society including internet dependency, need for attention, and the fear and ignorance that come hand-in-hand with being in the face of the unknown.
