"A Hymn to God my God, in my Sickness" is a poem written by John Donne. It was likely authored in the 1620s, very possibly during the period between late November and early December 1623, as it was during this time that Donne suffered from a nearly-fatal illness, now believed to be typhus. This follows the poem's central theme, which depicts the reflections of a very ill man on religion and his life. However, the poem was not published until after Donne's death in 1633, in the volume Poems.
