Everything you need to understand or teach A Dialogue of Self and Soul.
“A Dialogue of Self and Soul” is a 72-line dramatic poem by Irish poet William Butler Yeats. It is divided into two parts: a dialogue and a monologue between two opposing aspects of the self. It first appeared in Yeats’ 1933 collection The Winding Stair, which takes its name from this poem. The poem’s two speakers discuss their philosophies of mortality and the role of the spirit, and what one should aspire towards during their time on earth.
