Summary

In Chapter 21, Todd and Adam remove Evan’s body from the Facility. Rachel, one of the survivors, admits to Candace that Bob had forbidden Evan from ever leaving the Facility since they arrived. Candace assumes that Evan killed himself by overdosing on Xanax. Candace has an imagined conversation with her mother in which her mother says that actually, Bob probably killed Evan. Candace arranges a meeting with Bob by claiming that she is sick and is worried about the health of the fetus. Candace requests to be allowed to roam the mall. Bob responds by saying that when he was a child, he lived in Needling and came to this mall often.
