Summary: Essay provides a discussion of Greek Architecture in America.
Greek architecture is the most used architecture in America. Even though many of our founding fathers believed that the Roman type architecture was better, Greek architecture became more popular. It became more popular because it was easier to build and it was the start of the first democracy.

It was much easier to build than Roman architecture because Roman architecture is more complicated. Roman architecture used more of the Corinthian style, while the Greeks more commonly used the Doric and the Ionic styles.

The second reason is it was the start of the first democracy. The Greeks were the first to come up with this type of democracy. Although it is very different from the way we see democracy now, in the way that it is setup, it was the first government ruled mostly by the people.
